ALG’s Aparna Sreedhar and Smita Chandra recently visited National Law University Odisha’s campus for recruitment and interacted with many of the bright minds of the student community. The International Trademark Association (INTA) has appointed six ALG Partners to serve on its various committees for the next two year 2020-21 term.

ALG’s Sheja Ehtesham will be attending the 99th PTMG Group Conference from October 2 – October 5 at Berlin, Germany. Like each year, this year’s autumn edition boasts a distinguished panel of speakers and will advance the global discourse on pharmaceutical trademarks.

ALG Partner Ashwani Balayan presented India IP updates at the Asian Practice Committee meeting during the Intellectual Property Owners Association Annual Meeting in Washington DC.

In his talk, he discussed the recently amended Patents Rules 2019, as well as the pending Draft Patents Rules 2019 (with respect to Statement of Working of Patented Inventions in India). He also covered updates in other IP statutes, the draft E-commerce policy in India, and recent case law updates.
