ALG’s Sheja Ehtesham will be attending the 99th PTMG Group Conference from October 2 – October 5 at Berlin, Germany. Like each year, this year’s autumn edition boasts a distinguished panel of speakers and will advance the global discourse on pharmaceutical trademarks.

ALG Partner Ashwani Balayan presented India IP updates at the Asian Practice Committee meeting during the Intellectual Property Owners Association Annual Meeting in Washington DC.

In his talk, he discussed the recently amended Patents Rules 2019, as well as the pending Draft Patents Rules 2019 (with respect to Statement of Working of Patented Inventions in India). He also covered updates in other IP statutes, the draft E-commerce policy in India, and recent case law updates.

ALG Partner Gaurav Bhalla was invited to be a panelist for a discussion on challenges faced by young IP practitioners and the opportunities provided by the International Trademark Association (INTA) for them. The event, organized by INTA, took place on September 24 at the Leela Palace Hotel, New Delhi.

This event was a part of INTA’s Government Relations Program and was attended by INTA’s Board of Directors. The panel discussed the role played by INTA in the Indian trademark landscape, which includes exposure as well as various opportunities provided by INTA for the development of skills and knowledge of young practitioners at an international level.

Aparna Sreedhar and Gaurav Bhalla will be attending INTA’s India Workshop on September 25 at New Delhi.
