Practice Work Shop (PWS) On “Are There Any Challenges In Enforcement Of An Artist’s Moral Rights In The Virtual World?”

During last week’s Practice Workshop (PWS) Session, Tanisha Agarwal, Associate, led a discussion on “Are there any Challenges in Enforcement of an Artist’s Moral Rights in the Virtual World?”. The session witnessed a discussion on the different kinds of artworks in the virtual world. The session also delved into the possible challenges that could arise while enforcing moral rights of artists in the virtual/digital art. The session concluded with an engaging discussion on the importance of enforcing moral rights in the virtual world.

Legal Issues Seminar-General IP (LIS-GIP) On “Can A Single UDRP Complaint Be Filed Against Multiple Unknown Parties?”

A ‘Legal Issues Seminar-General IP’ (LIS-GIP) was conducted by Hardik Choudhary, Associate, on “Can a Single UDRP Complaint be Filed Against Multiple Unknown Parties?”. The seminar delved into the procedure of filing a consolidated UDRP complaint against multiple domain names and an in-depth discussion on situations where proxy services mask the details of the registrant. The seminar specifically looked into various UDRP Panel decisions discussing the various factors applicable to rule on the merits of consolidation. The session concluded with interesting questions from the team on the reasons behind consolidation, the threshold of common control required for consolidation, and the possibility of consolidation of country-level top-level domains (where applicable).
