A ‘Special Legal Issues Seminar-General IP’ (SLIS-GIP) was conducted by Aishwarya Pande, Associate, on “Choosing Between – A Review, Revision, Appeal, and Writ Petition against an Order passed in an IP Case”. The seminar delved into the scope of different remedies including Review, Revision, Appeal and a Writ available to an aggrieved party against whom a decree/order is passed in a civil suit. The seminar specifically looked into the circumstances under which each of these remedies can be sought. The session concluded with an interesting discussion on whether any of these remedies can be availed simultaneously, and if there is a preferred or more advantageous hierarchy of choosing these remedies in the lens of IP matters.
